A Brief Description
Most of my paintings are abstracts (architecturally-inspired, landscapes, portraits and hard edge). I work with acrylics, spray paint, gouaches and watercolors. I also have created a light sculpture-- Lite Plez for exterior landscapes, which is illuminated day & night. Having been a landscape gardener and designer in Los Angeles in the 70's, I am excited to return to the garden with my light sculptures.
I have also included photos I've taken in my gallery. Usually I'm just trying to capture an image I want to paint; sometimes I'm happy with the photos themselves.
My music is soulful pop, R&B, with a bit of gospel. I have been greatly influenced by the Motown Sound and was privileged to have spent some time in the MoWest Motown studios in Los Angeles with producers and artists and was able to be around for the mixing of the soundtrack of Lady Sings the Blues, featuring, of course, the great Diana Ross. I was a demo singer for songwriters such as Bob Crewe ("Lady Marmalade") and Barry DeVorzon ("Bless the Beast and the Children"). I have recorded and mixed at Paramount, Capitol Records, and A&M studios.
I have recorded three cds of my musical compositions on which I am also the vocalist. Find the Rainbow, my first released cd , features Billy Preston on organ on two cuts. My second cd, Tender Steel and "Jesus, Please Come Home to Me this Christmas " cd single, were produced by Robert Copeland, with an amazing orchestra and choir backing me up. On the later two cds my artist name is T.Goode.
I'm with BMI. Up 4 Grabs is the name of my song publishing company. I received 2 Telly Awards for my video of my song "Never Give Up On L-o-v-e" from Find the Rainbow. I have performed in NYC, and in Hollywood at the Troubadour and at the Gardenia Room in a show with Katharine McPhee.
And as for the " etc." part:
I am now studying acting at Milton Katezales' Beverly Hills Playhouse. I will be posting scenes and songs that I perform at the playhouse.
